HISTOLOGY TECH LEAD
BOISE, ID
Plans, manages and supervises the activities of a section of the anatomic pathology department. Performs clerical and environmental duties in the histology/cytology department. Provides support for the pathologists in handling and retrieving specimens. Responsible for adhering to department standards for patient identification and specimen integrity.
REQUIREMENTS:
Certification as a Histology Technician (HT) or Histology Technologist (HLT) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) required
3 years of experience in histology required
HOURS: You will enjoy excellent work-life balance by having afternoons and evenings off. The Lead works Monday - Friday, arriving between 5am - 6am. The day generally concludes between 1pm - 130pm. No evenings, nights, weekends or holidays.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Plans, prepares and coordinates work schedules to provide adequate coverage and efficient use of staff.
Plans, prepares and maintains assigned procedure manuals according to regulatory requirements.
Ensures that QC testing is performed, recorded and evaluated according to established guidelines.
Independently resolves technical and safety issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
Deals with issues affecting shift or department as required.
Ensures that department or shift meets all regulatory requirements.
Human relations, communication, and supervisory skills.
Absolute integrity with patient information and in the accurate performance of tasks.
Ability to work independently.
Good organizational skills.
