Location: Fall River, MA 02720

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Salary range: $80,000 - $110,000

Full-time: Benefit Eligible

In this role, you will:

The Histology Department Supervisor, you'll be pivotal in overseeing the daily operations of our histology department.

  • Team Leadership Assign, oversee, and review the work of team members while fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Staff Development: Supervise and train staff, assess competencies, conduct interviews, and handle all hiring processes.
  • Performance Management Conduct annual employee performance evaluations, establish monthly one on one meetings to ensure team members have the necessities to meet/exceed their professional goals.
  • Metrics Monitoring Produce, monitor, and maintain productivity, quality, and turnaround time (TAT) metrics.
  • Standard Operating Procedures Prepare and revise SOPs and manuals to maintain high standards of practice.
  • Histology Expertise Oversee and perform histology work, including grossing, embedding, cutting, staining, and quality assurance.
  • Quality Assurance Maintain all quality and service standards while adhering to the department budget.

All you need is:

  • Education BS/BA degree
  • Experience A minimum of 1-3 years of supervisory experience in histology.
  • Validation and Compliance Validate methodologies and instrumentation, and prepare for laboratory inspections.
  • Or acceptable combination of experience and education
