About the Role

Happy to Help Caregiving is actively hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers for WEEKEND shifts in Pocatello and surrounding communities If you are looking for meaningful weekend work where you can make a real impact while supporting seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities, we would love to hear from you.

This position is focused heavily on weekend availability, making it a great fit for individuals looking to pick up extra hours on Saturdays and Sundays while providing one-on-one, non-medical care in clients’ homes throughout the Pocatello area.

As a weekend caregiver, you will help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent while building meaningful relationships and providing dependable support when it matters most.

What You’ll Do

Depending on each client’s individualized care plan, responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene
• Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support
• Preparing meals and snacks based on client preferences and dietary needs
• Performing light housekeeping including laundry, dishes, tidying, and maintaining a safe environment
• Supporting mobility, walking assistance, repositioning, and safe transfers
• Providing medication reminders according to care plans
• Helping with errands, grocery shopping, transportation to appointments, and weekend outings throughout Pocatello
• Monitoring client well-being and communicating updates or concerns to the office team
• Following individualized care plans while supporting client dignity and independence

Weekend caregivers are expected to arrive on time, communicate professionally, maintain respectful boundaries, and provide dependable care in every home they enter.

Qualifications

We are seeking caregivers who are compassionate, dependable, professional, and available to work weekends in the Pocatello area.

Preferred qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility support
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently and follow care plans carefully
• Previous caregiving experience is helpful but not required

Position Details

• Location: Pocatello, ID and surrounding communities
• Schedule: Weekend shifts strongly preferred, including Saturdays and Sundays
• Flexible scheduling with daytime, evening, and weekend opportunities available

• Mileage reimbursement available for qualifying travel
