Right at Home Spokane, a family-owned and award-winning in-home care agency, is seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Caregiver to support a male client living with dementia. We are looking for a dedicated Caregiver who understands the unique challenges of memory care and has experience providing safe, patient-centered support to individuals with dementia.

Competitive Pay: $20-$24/hour, depending on experience and certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
  • Deliver compassionate dementia care while promoting client safety, independence, and comfort
  • Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, and companionship
  • Engage the client in meaningful activities and provide emotional support
  • Monitor changes in condition and communicate concerns to the care team
  • Work primarily in the client's home with varying shift schedules

Requirements

  • Previous Caregiver experience supporting clients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory-related conditions preferred
  • Male Caregiver preferred to meet the specific care needs and preferences of the client
  • Certified Health Care Aide (HCA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license preferred, but not required. We'll pay for your training.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Ability to pass a written competency evaluation, drug screen, and nationwide background check
  • Patient, dependable, and compassionate Caregiver with strong communication skills
  • Experience with redirection techniques, memory care support, and behavior management is a plus
