Job Category: Production Team MemberResponsible for setting up loads, loading and unloading equipment, packing loads for shipment, and assisting other departments with Quality, Service, Productivity, Safety, and Integrity always at the forefront of performance.
This is a 3rd shift position. $20.60 + shift differential 1.10
Key Responsiblities:
- Properly set up loads for processing while following detailed and specific work instructions.
- Follow the production labor plan laid out by those whom dictate the schedule and manage the daily floor plan.
- Load and unload various pieces of industrial equipment, such as but not limited to:  vacuums, air stress furnaces, bake ovens, tempering equipment, and deep freeze units.
- Attention to detail and following shop orders is of paramount importance, as setup and pack away requirements from job to job can vary significantly.
- Notify the Heat Treat Lead, Shift Supervisor, and/or Shift Manager of anomalies during the day-to-day operations including equipment and/or maintenance related problems, such as those found during equipment inspections.
- Mark parts, as required per job, to ensure lot control is maintained as well as sample locations are being identified.
- Apply thermocouples to parts, as required per job, to match customer specifications.
- Make up, utilize, and replace thermocouples, as necessary.
- Understand and follow all PICS procedures and work instructions pertaining to the job role.
- Initiate, monitor and conclude HIP cycles to ensure product meets our customer requirements.
- Identify process improvements to implement in shop order processes.
- Report deviations from job specifications to the Shift Supervisor, Shift Manager, Heat Treat Lead, Quality Assurance Manager, Production Manager and/or the Plant Manager.
- Perform required material handling using a forklift, pallet jack, electric pallet jack, and/ or furnace loader, when necessary.
- Responsible for assisting with training new hires and not yet learned job duties to those that do not fall in the new hire category.
- Perform tasks, as required, to assist and support in other departments; such as but not limited to:  shipping, receiving, and the hydrogen belt department.
- Maintain high standards for Safety, Quality, Service, Productivity, and Integrity.
- Responsible for organization and housekeeping, including 5S, of one’s area.
- Advocate for safe behavior among all personnel while participating Quarterly in the Safety Awards Program.
- Demonstrate ability to operate overhead cranes in a safe manner, never working under a suspended load.
- Follow all shop rules and ensure that all production activities are conducted in a safe manner.
- Attend and be punctual for the daily shift LDMS meeting.

QualificationsKnowledge:
- Requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of basic math and mechanical principles.
- Logical thinking process and organizational skills.
- Act in professional manner when interacting with peers, superiors, vendors and customers.
- Prior experience in a similar or related position/industry is preferred.
