Job Description

Baptist Health is looking for a HIM Physician Liaison to join our team in Louisville, KY!

Physician Liaison performs production of accurate suspension lists to be distributed hospital wide. Physician Liaison will work under the supervision of the HIM Supervisor and HIM Manager. This position ensures timely completion and reporting of delinquent medical records for various medical staff committees. Physician Liaison will perform necessary tasks to consistently lower delayed claim dollars.
This position is customer service focused and functions in a technical role by ensuring and protecting patient privacy and security at all times. Physician Liaison also promotes Corporate Integrity through compliance with BHS Corporate Responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • High School/GED

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Formal education in HIM will be considered in lieu of experience.
• RHIA certification equates to 4 years of HIM work experience.
• RHIT certification equates to 2 years of HIM work experience.

  • Two years minimum computer experience, with proficiency in data entry and basic MS Office applications including Word and Excel required.

  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology required

  • Notary public/eligible to obtain as needed.

5 days per week; 8:00am- 4:30pm
