Job Description

The Scrum Master – EPPG (Hyderabad) will enable one or more Agile squads delivering capabilities on the Enterprise Payments & Platforms programs. You will coach the teams, remove impediments, drive continuous improvement, and ensure delivery excellence across compliancesensitive initiatives (e.g., SOX/PCI) and integrations supporting enterprise payment and financial systems. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Owners, engineering, QA, security, and program leadership across US–India time zones to achieve predictable, highquality outcomes.

This is a hands-on position with visibility to the highest levels of Evernorth management who are motivated to see the successful results of our efforts. The solution focuses on enabling this change using the provider API’s for collection, storage and utilization of payment methods.The Scrum Master will be responsible for User Story creation, updates to JIRA and Financial latest technologies and development techniques. The position will require strong practice in MS Office products as well as an understanding of Pathfinder.

Responsibilities

·Facilitate Agile ceremonies endtoend (daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning/review/retros, and Scrum of Scrums as needed).

·Coach teams and stakeholders on Scrum/Lean principles to foster autonomy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

·Remove impediments quickly; escalate risks, manage dependencies, and coordinate with adjacent teams and program leadership to keep delivery on track.

·Uphold governance and compliance expectations across the delivery lifecycle (e.g., SOX/PCI controls, operational checkpoints), partnering with security and audit where required.

·Drive program cadence (e.g., PI Planning participation/coordination, release readiness, crossteam alignment) to support reliable quarterly and sprint outcomes.

·Champion datadriven delivery by maintaining accurate team metrics (velocity, burndown, cumulative flow) and using them to guide forecasting and improvements.

·Strengthen stakeholder communication with clear, timely updates on scope, risks, decisions, and impacts; facilitate alignment between Product Owner, Development, QA, and Ops.

·Maintain tooling hygiene (e.g., Jira backlogs, boards, and Confluence) ensuring transparency, traceability, and auditability.

·Promote quality-first practices (definition of ready/done, test automation awareness, QA) and help teams adopt effective working agreements.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

Strong influencing/negotiation skills.

Strong interpersonal/relationship management skills.

Strong time and project management skills.

Familiarity with most of the following technologies- JAVA, Angular

Familiarity with agile methodology including SCRUM team leadership.

Familiarity with modern delivery practices such as continuous integration, behavior/test driven development, and specification by example.

Required Experience & Education:

5-8 years in Agile delivery roles (e.g., Scrum Master, Delivery Lead) guiding one or more software teams to consistent, incremental delivery.
