Role Title: HIH - Business Project Lead Analyst

Position Overview

The Lead Analyst, Finance Process Optimization, will support the Finance Forward transformation program by developing, testing, and implementing proofs of concept and process improvement solutions identified through Finance process discovery activities.

Working closely with the Finance Process Optimization team, Finance SMEs, and technology partners, this role will transform process improvement opportunities into working prototypes and scalable solutions. The individual will leverage a broad technical toolkit including AI/GenAI, Python, automation platforms, analytics tools, and advanced Excel to drive efficiency, improve data quality, and reduce manual effort across Finance processes.

This role is ideal for a hands-on problem solver who enjoys building solutions, experimenting with new technologies, and rapidly translating business requirements into practical outcomes. Success in this role requires strong technical execution skills, curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Development & Technical Execution

• Build and enhance proofs of concept, automations, analytics solutions, and AI-enabled tools for Finance process improvement opportunities.
• Utilize the most appropriate technologies, including AI/GenAI, Python, Alteryx, Power Platform, SQL, and advanced Excel, to solve business problems.
• Rapidly develop, test, and iterate prototypes based on business feedback and evolving requirements.
• Participate in evaluating emerging technologies and identifying opportunities to improve Finance operations.

Process Improvement & Analysis

• Partner with process optimization teams and Finance SMEs to understand current-state processes, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
• Analyze process flows, operational data, and business requirements to support solution development.
• Identify opportunities to streamline, standardize, automate, and improve existing Finance processes.
• Support current-state and future-state process design activities.

Testing, Validation & Deployment Support

• Conduct testing and validation activities to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
• Measure and document expected benefits, efficiency gains, and operational improvements.
• Troubleshoot issues, refine solution logic, and incorporate user feedback.
• Support pilot deployments and early-stage adoption efforts.

Documentation & Delivery Support

• Create technical documentation, process documentation, and solution design artifacts.
• Prepare solution requirements and handoff materials for engineering and delivery teams.
• Maintain organized documentation of prototypes, lessons learned, reusable components, and best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience developing automation, analytics, or technology-enabled process improvement solutions.
• Experience working with Python, SQL, Alteryx, Power Automate, Power Apps, advanced Excel, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with AI/GenAI tools and the ability to apply them to solve business problems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured business data.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in business process improvement, automation, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to Finance processes such as Accounting, Financial Close, FP&A, Reporting, Controllership, or Shared Services operations.
• Experience with AI/GenAI use cases, document intelligence, workflow automation, or data analytics solutions.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools.
• Experience supporting proof-of-concepts, pilots, and technology implementation projects.
