DISTRICT 07 – Unit 510 (Lake Charles Maintenance)

This position supervises a crew of personnel and manages assigned work activities in the Oberlin Maintenance Unit (D07 Lake Charles Maintenance) and reports directly to the Parish Highway Maintenance Superintendent.
While in official capacity, DOTD employees must comply with applicable Louisiana and Civil Service laws, rules, and regulations, as well as DOTD policies, procedures, manuals, and directives.
Four years of experience in the construction, maintenance, or repair of roads, bridges, levees, drainage facilities, wharfs, buildings, or grounds; OR
Four years of experience in the operation or maintenance of industrial or heavy mobile equipment.

Experience in any combination of the qualifying fields will be accepted.

The incumbent may be required to possess the following specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as maintain the following licensing:
Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, Detail to Special Duty by a permanent DOTD employee, or Job Appointment
Work Schedule: Work hours are 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Thursday.
