We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Highway Engineer in one of our Florida Transportation offices located in Jacksonville, Pensacola, Tampa, or Orlando

What You'll Do:

The primary focus of this role will be to perform highway engineering design for our diverse clientele supporting KYTC and FDOT projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design various types of highway, bridge and traffic projects, including urban and rural roadways, interstates, interchanges, traffic management, transportation planning, highway safety, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometric layout, MOT, Drainage and ADA compliance projects.
• Work with the design team comprised of Project Managers, Senior Engineers, and other technical staff to develop engineered solutions for various clients.
• Work on design for a variety of roadway projects including interchanges, intersection improvements, roadway widening/capacity improvements, ADA, and pedestrian safety upgrades.
• Utilize CAD design software such as ORD and Civil 3D for design and plan production.
• Perform field visits for ongoing design projects.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• EIT required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in highway engineering in a professional setting.
• Proficient in performing InRoads modeling, Openroads (ORD) modeling experience is preferred.
• Experience working with MicroStation, and/or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, KYTC or FDOT, MUTCD, and ADA regulations.
• Strong oral and technical writing skills.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments.
• An attitude and commitment to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to analyze complex highway issues and alternates and prepare cogent recommendations.
