Job Description

Looking for a change and the adventure of a lifetime??

Highlands Christian Grammar School (HCGS), in partnership with MAF International, is seeking a passionate leader and educator to take on the role of Principal, starting January 2027.

Located in Mount Hagen in Papua New Guinea’s Western Highlands Province, HCGS plays a vital role in supporting the work of MAF and other mission organisations by providing quality, Christ-centred education for the next generation. Serving a multicultural community, the school offers an excellent international educational experience from Foundation (elementary) through to Grade 10.

HCGS exists to equip for leadership through a Christ-centred international education, partnering with parents to provide a well-rounded, Bible-based, academically excellent, and culturally sensitive programme that nurtures each child’s individual gifts. By meeting the educational needs of mission families and the wider local community, HCGS helps lay a strong foundation of faith, learning, and leadership development in this strategically important region.

This role offers the opportunity not just for classroom teaching with bright and dedicated students, but also curriculum development in certain courses and lesson planning with Biblical integration. Moreover, teachers have the opportunity to live in a vibrant community with their fellow teaching staff and the wider community, while building authentic and meaningful relationships with students as they grow and learn together.

Mission Aviation Fellowship

About Mission Aviation Fellowship

Mission Aviation Fellowship was founded in 1945 by a group of WWII pilots who had a vision for how aviation could be used to help spread the Gospel.

Since those early days, we have been an indispensable partner and servant to some 500 Christian organizations, humanitarian agencies, and more. We enable and maximize evangelism and church nurturing, medical assistance, disaster response, and community development, as well as the training and development of indigenous people.

Using aviation, we desire to see isolated people changed by the love of Christ by serving together to bring help, hope, and healing. We meet the physical and spiritual needs of isolated people in 42 countries throughout Asia, Africa, Eurasia and Latin America, operating a fleet of 47 light aircraft. Dedicated missionary families raise their own ministry support to serve as the hands and feet of Christ to those in need.
