Job Description

We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to support teaching and learning across Stages 1, 2 and 3. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teachers, and specialist staff to help deliver a high-quality, broad curriculum and provide targeted support for individual pupils and groups.

The roles will provide a cover supervisory role to Seniors and Prep students, as well as supporting the School clubs’ offer.

Roles Available:

One permanent position (to commence Sept 26)

One fixed term position for maternity cover (possible commencement Nov/Dec 2026)

Key Responsibilities
• Support the teaching and learning of pupils in Year 1 through to Year 11
• Plan and deliver learning activities under the direction of teaching staff or independently, as appropriate
• Provide targeted interventions for groups or individuals, including those with SEND
• Support pupils' emotional, social and personal development, encouraging independence and resilience
• Contribute to assessment and the recording of pupils’ progress
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to support the implementation of the KS1, 2 & 3 National Curriculum
• Assist with classroom management, displays, and preparation of teaching materials
• Supervise pupils during break and lunchtimes, as required
• Participate in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities, where appropriate
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour, and health & safety at all times
