Our local product group Insulation & Components is a global technology leader in the design and manufacture of high-voltage transformer bushings. Renowned international companies across the electrical industry—including power generation, transmission, and distribution—trust our solutions. We hold a leading worldwide position in high-voltage bushing technology.


To strengthen our operations, we are looking for a High Voltage Testing Engineer to join our high-voltage testing team at our MICAFIL bushing factory. If you are passionate about high-voltage testing and want to actively contribute to the future of our production processes, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.


How you’ll make an impact

  • Plan and execute electrical and thermal type tests as well as special tests on high-voltage bushings (in-house and externally), considering available resources and budget

  • Assist and lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), including in-house FATs with customers

  • Ensure the full functionality and availability of three high-voltage laboratories in collaboration with the team

  • Lead and manage laboratory-related projects

  • Ensure safety of equipment and personnel through training, instructions, and compliance with safety standards

  • Secure quality, traceability, and compliance of bushing process steps through process instructions

  • Perform routine, type, and special tests as required

  • Continuously challenge and improve procedures and instructions as part of Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP)

  • As part of the Operations department, actively support and contribute to daily business activities


Your background

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

  • Professional experience in high-voltage technology, testing, or electrical machines, ideally in a production or industrial environment

  • Solid understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 17025

  • Business-fluent German and good English, both written and spoken

  • Strong team spirit, high social competence, and enjoyment of working in a multicultural environment

  • Flexible mindset with a strong enthusiasm for technology

  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
