The opportunity
We are looking for a skilled and driven R&D Test and Process Engineer for Bushings with a specialized focus on high voltage (HV) testing and manufacturing process development This role is critical in ensuring the performance, safety, and compliance of high voltage energy systems through rigorous testing, data analysis, and continuous process optimization. You will play a key role in bridging R&D and manufacturing, supporting the development of innovative energy technologies.
How you'll make an impact
Lead and execute high voltage testing activities in compliance with IEC, IEEE, and internal standards
Design and implement test setups, selecting appropriate HV equipment and methodologies
Analyze test data, document results, and support root cause investigations and corrective actions
Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to define test strategies and process requirements
Drive continuous improvement in testing and prototyping processes to enhance efficiency and quality
Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and safe operation of HV test equipment
Support prototyping activities and assess process feasibility in a manufacturing environment
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and company policies
Your background
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in high voltage testing. Process engineering experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of HV testing protocols, equipment, and safety practices
Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001 standards
Proficient in analyzing test data and conducting failure analyses
Fluent in German and good English knowledge, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
