Job Description

CONCAPE is a recruitment consultancy specialising in direct placement, focusing on recruitment in the core regions of Switzerland and Liechtenstein as well as in leading European niche markets.

We are looking for experienced High Voltage Cable Jointers to support projects across various European countries.

You will be responsible for the installation, jointing, and termination of high-voltage cables (ranging from 11 kV to 132 kV) for substations, transmission networks, and industrial facilities.

Tasks

• Perform jointing, termination, and testing of HV cables (XLPE, EPR, etc.)
• Carry out cable preparation, crimping, heat shrink and resin joint installations
• Work according to drawings, standards, and safety regulations
• Test and document completed works to ensure quality compliance
• Collaborate with site engineers, supervisors, and utility clients
• Ensure all work meets quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements

Requirements

• Completed electrical or power engineering qualification (apprenticeship or equivalent)
• Proven experience as an HV Cable Jointer (11–132 kV)
• Manufacturer certifications (e.g. Pfisterer, NKT, Nexans, Prysmian) are a strong plus
• Good English skills (German or other EU languages are an advantage)
• Willingness to travel and work across Europe
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and self-motivated
