HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS REPORTER

PennLive is looking for a fast-moving, digitally savvy high school sports reporter to join our award-winning team.

This role goes far beyond traditional game coverage.

We’re seeking a content creator who can cover stories in real time and transform that coverage into compelling written articles and far-reaching vertical video to expand reach.

The ideal candidate will also be a multitasker, juggling those daily assignments, with top performer lists, all-star teams and authoritative rankings.

The base salary range is $45,000 to $50,000 per year.

Requirements:

  • Have a degree in journalism or communication, or an equivalent education and work experience with proven ability in journalism reporting and writing.
  • Minimum of two years of journalism experience with a proven ability in reporting and writing required.
  • Speed, accuracy, and creativity are essential.
  • Strong news judgment, sharp writing skills, and a solid grasp of digital storytelling are musts.
  • You should be energized by a busy local sports scene, able to pivot between sports throughout the year, and eager to connect with readers, viewers and listeners.
  • Night, weekend, and travel assignments will be central to the role.
  • This job requires reliable transportation to meet sources

These products include portable and fixed fire extinguishers, hoses, hose reels, nozzles, foam and other material/equipment involved in fire detection and suppression. We also provide safety equipment such as gloves, fire resistant clothing, safety glasses, masks, air breathing apparatus and other similar items. These products are sold from inventory or shipped directly to our customers from our vendors.

The following vendors we have on schedule include Ansul, Amerex, Kidde, Siemens, Survivair, Akron Brass and Gentex, just to name a few.
