CatholicCare Central Queensland is a large, vibrant, and highly regarded not-for-profit organisation providing a broad range of quality social services throughout the Catholic Diocese of Rockhampton. Guided by our Christian ethos and the principles of Catholic Social Justice, we are committed to inclusive service delivery and proudly welcome employees and clients of all religions, backgrounds, and beliefs.
This is a pivotal role within Queensland’s recognised High Risk Team (HRT) framework, supporting coordinated, multi-agency responses to the most serious domestic and family violence (DFV) matters in the Capricorn region.
Working at the centre of a structured and confidential environment, you will enable informed and timely decision-making across government and non-government partners, including police, child safety, courts, corrections, and specialist DFV services.
This is a specialist position focused on system coordination, risk intelligence, and information integrity. Rather than delivering frontline case management, you will ensure that high-risk matters are accurately prepared, clearly presented, and effectively tracked through the HRT process. Your work will directly support critical decision-making and contribute to safer outcomes for victim-survivors.
Why this role matters
The High Risk Team model is a cornerstone of Queensland’s integrated response to domestic and family violence. This role sits at the centre of that system.
You will contribute to coordinated responses to high-risk DFV cases across multiple agencies, the quality and integrity of information used in risk assessment and intervention, consistent decision-making in complex and time-critical situations, and improved safety outcomes for victim-survivors through effective system coordination.
You may be suited to this role if
You may be a social work, psychology, community services, child protection, corrections, regulatory, compliance, or human services professional who has worked in environments where risk, accountability, documentation, and timely decision-making matter.
This role may suit you if you are experienced in assessing information, preparing accurate records, working within structured frameworks, supporting complex decisions, or coordinating actions across multiple stakeholders. It is particularly well suited to professionals who understand the importance of high-quality administration in risk-connected environments and who want to contribute to safer outcomes through system coordination rather than direct case management.
