Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE

Perform job duties within the manufacturing environment primarily operating the High Rise Crane but also to assist across the cooler warehouse moving finished product. This would include unloading and loading trucks to ensure the continual production and load out of product.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clean, set-up, operate, and monitor high rise crane operation
  • Work safely and wear proper PPE
  • Work constantly at heights up to 40 feet and use all fall protection
  • Work 10 and 12 hour shifts as needed
  • Complete all required documentation and quality checks
  • Record and document all product moved through high rise cooler either electronically or written
  • Submit data through computerized inventory management system while moving product
  • Perform periodic inventory of high rise electronically and physically
  • Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks in cooler high rise and cooler warehouse
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties
  • Maintain communication with other departments, supervisor, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production
  • Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s
  • Review process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Production or general work experienced preferred
  • Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of plant operations
  • Able to operate warehouse equipment, components, and peripheral accessories
  • Able to effectively work in a team environment
  • Able to follow directions and carry out instructions
  • Able to legibly write entries for record keeping
  • Able to take appropriate steps to find solutions to problems
  • Able to perform task and duties under general supervision
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
