Job Description

The Mission

Are you interested in aviation, space and literally everything in between? Are you a curious, driven and go-getter professional looking for the next adventure in a city full of life? Keep reading. This job might be for you.

We are looking for a technical and multidisciplinary project manager who is not afraid of getting his/her hands in the mud.

If your application is retained, you will be the central hub for cutting-edge stratospheric innovation, steering High-Altitude Pseudo Satellites (HAPS) payload projects. Sitting at the nexus of clients, space-grade engineers, and external partners, you will be tasked with transforming ambitious high-altitude ideas into flawlessly executed, flight-ready missions—on time, on budget, and, of course, on quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Lifecycle Leadership: Lead overall planning, execution, and delivery of HAPS payload projects from initial kickoff through integration, testing, and flight preparation.
  • Technical Contribution: we are a small, agile company, if you are an engineer with technical skills you will be able to contribute.
  • Stakeholder & Customer Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for external clients, ensuring clear communication, alignment on requirements, and continuous satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Matrix-manage multidisciplinary engineering teams and external partners, driving technical alignment and accountability without direct line authority.
  • Project Governance & Risk Management: Monitor schedule, budget, scope, and resource allocation; proactively identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Finance and Procurement: together with the financial controllers and the CFO follow-up budget and update EAC (Estimated at Completion) financials. Manage purchases for your projects following internal compliance rules.
  • Technical & Requirements Alignment: Work closely with engineering teams to ensure all technical developments, design reviews, and payload modifications strictly adhere to customer specifications.
  • Operational Support: Facilitate procurement activities, hardware integration, quality assurance, and overall mission preparation from a project management perspective.
  • Bid & Proposal Support: Contribute to project definition activities, technical proposals, and cost/schedule estimations for new HAPS business opportunities.

About you

We would love to hear who you are, your experience, your vision and how you could help us deliver our products and solutions with Airbus-quality standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Telecommunications), Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Professional Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional), CAPM, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification preferred.
  • Domain Experience: 3 to 7+ years of experience in technical project management within aerospace, defense, space systems, or advanced telecommunications.
  • Lifecycle Background: Direct experience overseeing hardware/software development lifecycles, specifically payload development, integration, testing (V&V), or flight readiness.
  • Contract & Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of managing customer interfaces, subcontractor deliverables, and project compliance within strict contractual frameworks.

Non-technical Skills

  • Languages: English (C1) is mandatory. Spanish/Catalan/French/German are a plus.
  • Analytical thinking
  • Mindset: Very rigorous, patient, curious to learn “a bit of everything”, reliable with deadlines and comfortable escalating doubts early.
  • Proactive thinking, risk taker, fast learner, flexible
  • Emotional intelligence, empathic, ability to be in someone else's shoes
  • Open minded to diversity, inclusion and other cultures

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
