Hours: 45 hours per week | between 12:00 and 00:00 Monday to Thursday
Salary: between £47,333.52 - £53,660.88 pa DOE
Not everyone wants an early start. If a later shift and a three-day weekend work better for you, this could be the HGV Technician role you've been looking for.
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join Dennis Eagle in Bexley, working a four-day late shift, Monday to Thursday.
You'll maintain, diagnose and repair specialist refuse collection vehicles, working across commercial vehicle servicing, HGV repairs, fault finding, electronics and hydraulics.
Whether you know the job as HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician or Heavy Vehicle Technician, we're interested in the technical experience you can bring.
And when Thursday night's shift is finished, your three-day weekend starts.
You'll need:
Experience maintaining refuse collection vehicles (RCVs) or working with electric vehicles would be useful, but isn't essential.
An HGV Class 2 licence, IRTEC accreditation or training in Volvo Tech Tool or Allison transmission would also be useful rather than essential.
You don't need to tick every desirable box. If you have solid commercial vehicle experience and the core technical skills we're looking for, we'd encourage you to apply.
This isn't your typical Monday-to-Friday workshop pattern.
You'll work 45 hours per week between 12:00pm and 12:00am, Monday to Thursday, giving you Friday, Saturday and Sunday off.
The later start could be a great fit if you prefer afternoons and evenings, want to avoid the traditional morning shift or value having a regular three-day weekend.
Please make sure the late-shift hours and journey to our Bexley site work for you before applying.
Our workshop is based in Bexley, DA1 5QJ, close to Dartford and the Kent/South East London border.
🚗 As this is a site-based role with a midnight finish, we'd particularly recommend checking your journey and transport arrangements to DA1 5QJ before applying.
The location could suit HGV Technicians, HGV Mechanics and Commercial Vehicle Technicians travelling from Dartford, Bexleyheath, Crayford, Erith, Sidcup, Swanley and surrounding areas of Kent and South East London.
If the four-day late shift works for you, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and bring your commercial vehicle experience to our Bexley team.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Even if you don't meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply. We value potential and are committed to supporting your development.
We recognise the importance of flexibility and offer a range of flexible and hybrid working arrangements where the nature of the role and business needs allow. If you'd like to understand what options may be available for this position, please contact our Recruitment team.
