Essential Requirements

• EU/UK citizenship or existing right to work in Ireland (mandatory)
• Qualified Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Technician or equivalent trade certification
• Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience working on HGVs
• Proficiency with diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of Renault, Fiat, MAN, or Volvo trucks
• Full, clean driving licence; truck licence essential
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge

As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing heavy goods vehicles. You will work on a range of trucks, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with manufacturer standards. The role involves diagnostics, mechanical and electrical repairs, and collaboration with the service team to keep vehicles operational and clients satisfied.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing, repairs, and fault diagnostics on HGVs
• Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting
• Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer and company standards
• Complete accurate service documentation and job records
• Report additional repair work or chargeable items to management
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
• Assist colleagues and support smooth workshop operations

Qualifications

• Recognised HGV or Commercial Vehicle Technician qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience servicing and repairing HGVs
• Experience with Renault, Fiat, MAN, or Volvo trucks advantageous
• Strong diagnostic skills and familiarity with modern diagnostic equipment
• Truck licence essential
