Harmonics Recruitment are currently seeking a HGV Mechanic on behalf of one of our clients based in Shannon

Job Title: HGV Mechanic

Job Purpose:

The role of HGV Mechanic will be to complete all HGV motor mechanical activities

Responsibilities

• Preparation of vehicles for CVRT testing, and quarterly inspections.
• Provide training and advice to apprentices and co-workers as required
• Be capable of producing quality work in a busy fast paced environment
• Work well under pressure while maintaining efficiency and productivity
• Have a flexible approach to work and be willing to work overtime if required
• Ordering parts & consumables and ensuring stock levels of critical parts is maintained
• This is a physically demanding, primarily outdoor role within a chemical manufacturing plant environment.
• Complying with all relevant Health & Safety regulations

• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned to support the overall goals and objectives of the organisation.

Person Specification

Education

• Qualified Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic - QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent
• Must have C1 Driving Licence

Professional Experience

• Proven industry experience
• Experience in all aspects of vehicle and trailer servicing diagnostics.
• Excellent knowledge of CVRT requirements in HGV's
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates must already possess the right to work in the EU.
