HGV Driver & Operator

Location: Leicester

Employment type: Full Time

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with overtime opportunities available

About the role…

At Ipsum, our vision is to be the leading customer service-focused provider of specialist utility and infrastructure solutions, operating on both public and private networks. As an HGV Driver & Operator, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving drainage systems, ensuring the efficient operation of essential services for our communities.

As a HGV Driver & Operator you will…

• Operating HGV jetting units to carry out drainage cleaning and maintenance.

• Responding to emergency call-outs and planned maintenance schedules.

• Conducting CCTV surveys to assess drainage conditions.

• Liaising with clients and internal teams to report findings and recommend solutions.

• Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.

• Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used.

• Performing routine checks and basic maintenance on equipment.

About you…

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.

• High-pressure water jetting certification.

• Confined space entry certification.

• Experience in drainage maintenance and jetting operations.

• Familiarity with CCTV drainage survey equipment and software.

• Knowledge of health and safety practices in utility operations.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and weekend
