Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, including tyres, brakes, lights, oil, water, fuel levels, and overall vehicle condition.
- Transport goods safely and efficiently between depots and delivery locations.
- Work with transport management to agree delivery schedules and routes.
- Assist with loading and unloading when required.
- Ensure loads are correctly distributed and securely fastened.
- Deliver goods in accordance with planned schedules and road safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, journey times, and hours worked.
- Carry out minor vehicle maintenance checks and promptly report any faults or defects.
Requirements
- Valid Category C Driving Licence (or equivalent recognised licence).
- Clean driving record.
- Strong commitment to road safety and regulatory compliance.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage delivery schedules.
- Driver CPC qualification is advantageous but not essential.
