HGV Driver (Artic Driver)

Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing provider of access and construction support services operating across Ireland. Due to continued expansion and an increasing project portfolio throughout Dublin and the surrounding regions, they are seeking an experienced HGV Driver to join their logistics and operations team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the safe and efficient transportation of equipment, materials and site resources between depots and customer sites. This role requires a safety-conscious professional who takes pride in maintaining high standards of vehicle operation, customer service and compliance.

The company operates throughout the commercial, industrial, residential and infrastructure sectors and is recognised for its strong commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV vehicles in accordance with Road Traffic legislation and company procedures.
• Transport construction and access equipment to and from customer sites throughout Dublin and Leinster.
• Load, secure and unload equipment safely and efficiently.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and report any defects immediately.
• Maintain accurate transport documentation, delivery records and vehicle check sheets.
• Ensure compliance with Working Time Directive and Tachograph regulations.
• Assist site personnel during deliveries and collections where required.
• Maintain excellent customer relationships when attending client sites.
• Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and site-specific requirements.
• Keep vehicles clean, roadworthy and presentable at all times.

Requirements

Essential

• Full Clean Category CE Driving Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 2 years' professional HGV driving experience.
• Good geographical knowledge of Dublin and surrounding areas.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Good communication skills and professional manner.
• Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules effectively.

Desirable

• Experience delivering construction, scaffolding, plant or industrial materials.
• HIAB / Lorry Loader certificate.
• Construction site delivery experience.
• Safe Pass certification.
• Manual handling training.
