Base location: Widnes, WA8 8XW (Shunting in Garston, Liverpool)

Salary: £17.27 per Hour consolidated

● Minimum weekly earnings of £838,50

● Minimum annual earnings of £44,902

● Some nights out required paid at £41.47(parking paid separately on expenses)

● Saturday overtime rate £22.17

● Sunday overtime rate £29.57

Hours: 50 hours per week guaranteed. Monday to Friday (shifts normally start between 6.30am/7.30am). Shifts between 10 and 12 hours.

Weekend work available as additional overtime as part of weekend work roster requirements

What you’ll be doing;

  • Shunting of product barrels and vacuum tankers at our Solvent Recovery Facility based in Garston, Liverpool. The site will instruct on which tanks need loading or discharging and in which bay on site.

  • Working with an established crew of day operatives on site to make sure all the daily movements are achieved

  • Taking trailers for washout and transporting to relevant workshops for service maintenance

  • Collecting hazardous and non-hazardous waste from various commercial sites around the UK on vacuum tankers and general purpose tankers

  • Operating curtain siders

  • Ensure that each day all completed work is detailed on your daily worksheet, along with the daily vehicle check sheets, fuel receipts and weighbridge tickets

  • Comply with all traffic laws and legislation with relation to your duties including the security and weight of loads

What we’re looking for

  • Cat C+E (Class 1) licence and previous driving experience

  • Driver CPC

  • ADR in packages and tanks
