HGV-ADR Driver - Class 1

Location: Paisley

Enva Specialist Scotland is seeking an HGV Class 1 ADR Driver to safely transport hazardous goods by road while complying with strict legal, safety, and environmental regulations. This is a full-time, permanent role in Paisley.

Key Responsibilities

• Load, secure, and unload hazardous cargo properly
• Check vehicle safety (daily inspections, defect reporting)
• Ensure correct documentation and labelling for ADR loads
• Follow route plans and safety procedures, especially for high-risk materials
• Respond correctly in case of emergencies (spills, leaks, accidents.)
• Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport department
• Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns
• Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions
• Operate vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
• Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
• Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence on Enva reporting system.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Hold a valid HGV licence
• Hold ADR licence covering tanks and packages
• Hold a valid digital tachograph card and have completed all CPC requirements.
