We're seeking a Herbicide Technician to join our team, delivering vegetation management and weed control programs across roadsides, reserves, agricultural land and conservation areas.
This is a hands-on outdoor role where you'll work both independently and within a supportive team, contributing to environmental sustainability, public safety and community wellbeing
Key Responsibilities
• Safely mix, prepare and apply herbicides using hand-held, backpack and vehicle-mounted spraying equipment
• Identify invasive weed species and assess treatment requirements across a variety of sites
• Maintain accurate spray records, treatment data and equipment logs
• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance and calibration of spraying equipment
• Ensure all activities comply with relevant safety, environmental and legislative requirements
• Collaborate with supervisors, contractors, landholders and other stakeholders to deliver effective vegetation management outcomes
About You
• Current ChemCert or ACUP accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
• Minimum MR Driver Licence (HR Licence highly regarded)
• Experience in herbicide application, vegetation management, land management or a related field
• Understanding of safe chemical handling practices and environmental compliance requirements
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with minimal supervision
• A proactive, safety-first mindset and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Physically fit, reliable and self-motivated
