ASHM is a not-for-profit organisation seeking a HepPEd Educator making a difference to public health and hepatitis C education in the Western Australia prison system. About You
You may be a dedicated, culturally grounded and experienced Nurse, Nurse Educator, or Clinical Educator to join our team for an exciting opportunity to lead the implementation of the HepPEd (National Prisons Hepatitis Education Program) across five Western Australian Prisons. This critical role will directly support the Western Australia Department of Justice in ensuring the successful delivery of Hepatitis education and prevention initiatives.
This role suits someone who enjoys coordinating tasks, supporting logistical and administrative delivery of education, workshops, and training sessions, and contributing to strong evaluation and learning processes that strengthen project impact. You will assist with the project execution in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while also supporting data collection, reporting, and continuous improvement processes.
You’ll be part of a supportive not-for-profit that values inclusivity, integrity, and continuous learning.
We’re looking for someone who:
Location Perth (WA)
Employment status Fixed-term, Full-Time contract to 30 June 2027 Possibility of extension pending ongoing funding.
Salary 75,000 to 109,999 + super + salary packaging.
Salary based on skills and experience.

About HepPEd
The HepPEd (National Prisons Hepatitis Education Project) is an innovative, evidence-based education program designed to enhance the public health literacy (knowledge, attitudes, capabilities) of the prison sector in relation to hepatitis C, harm reduction and improve HCV testing and treatment uptake within Australian correctional centres. The HepPEd Program involves a suite of multi-modal resources across three interconnected streams: healthcare providers, custodial staff, and people in prison. ASHM is working with the National Prisons Hepatitis Network (NPHN) to implement HepPEd. The NPHN is dedicated to enhancing hepatitis C care for people incarcerated in Australian prisons by facilitating a coordinated approach to prison-based hepatitis C elimination.
