Summary
University of Vermont Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our outpatient Hematology and Oncology team at the University of Vermont Medical Center (UVMMC).
This NP will support a specialized oncology practice and focus primarily on solid tumor oncology. Seeing approximately 10 – 12 patients per clinic shift, the NP will conduct pre-treatment and long-term follow-up visits and manage symptoms associated with chemotherapy treatments. As a member of the Hematology/Oncology team, some coverage for infusion therapies may be required at times.

Schedule
This is a full-time 1.0 FTE exempt position that will be working primarily Monday – Friday during daytime outpatient hours (8am – 6pm). There is some flexibility for scheduling per NP preference.
Rotating weekend infusion coverage is shared among all APPs and is anticipated to be required approximately once every two months.
Experience
Ideal candidates will have 2+ years clinical NP oncology experience. New NP graduates with experience caring for oncology patients in previous positions, clinical rotation(s) in oncology, and a demonstrated interest in specializing in solid tumor oncology may be considered. Success in this position will require extensive knowledge of disease processes, chemotherapy administration, symptom management, supportive care, and patient education.
