JOB OVERVIEW

  • Patient Demographics: On-treatment and surveillance/survivorship patients

  • Average Daily Volume: 12 patients

  • Rounding: Unassigned Patients

  • Case Mix: Oncology, Hematology

FACILITY INFORMATION

  • EMR: MediTech

  • Specialty Backup Available: MD available

  • Support Staff: RNs: 3, MAs: 7, PA/NPs: 3, Office Staff: 6

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

  • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

  • Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (Emergency Credentialing available)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Board: BC/BE

  • Licenses: Active MT license or IMLC

  • Other Qualifications: EMR proficiency with MediTech; ability to work in a team-based care setting

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical oncology care to on-treatment patients, including symptom management and treatment administration.

  • Conduct follow-up visits for surveillance and survivorship patients, monitoring for recurrence and late effects.

  • Take first call for symptom support and treatment management during clinic hours, escalating to MD as needed.

  • Collaborate with a physician as part of a care team to develop and implement treatment plans.

  • Perform patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and document in MediTech EMR.
