Valiant is looking for a Helo Site Manager to join our team!

Valiant is seeking an experienced MH60R Contract Instructor (CI) to serve as the Site Manager for our training program at NS Mayport. This role blends hands‑ on‑ instruction with site leadership, ensuring effective and compliant delivery of Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) training.

You will lead daily training operations, coordinate closely with the Government and FRS Training Office, and personally instruct across MH60R simulator, classroom, and systems training events. This is a high‑ visibility‑ position supporting a critical Navy training mission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead all site operations and instructor staff, ensuring full compliance with contract requirements, timely delivery of training and reporting obligations, and effective coordination with the Government Site COR.
  • Deliver MH‑60R simulator, training device, and classroom instruction, including briefs and debriefs.
  • Conduct scheduled CI ‑led training for simulator, training device, and systems instruction.
  • Provide academic instruction including CRM, HIGS, and platform specific‑ coursework.
  • Use modern training tools such as interactive whiteboards, computers, projectors, CAI and CBT.
  • Evaluate student performance and document results in accordance with established criteria.
  • Provide instruction on training device operation, briefing and debriefing procedures, and grading and assessment standards.
  • Evaluate and record trainer and training device performance in accordance with established criteria.
  • Maintain and update mission scenarios and training materials for accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Assist with curriculum updates, mission scenario improvements, tests, lesson plans, and trainee guides.
  • Maintain and update HIGS course materials and NAVBAGS using government provided‑ publications.
  • Administer HIGS tests and submit results to the HIGS Officer.
  • Support training device inspections, certifications, and special projects including mishap recreation and testing.
  • Attend required Government scheduled‑ meetings including Scheduling, Standardization, Government Instructor Pilot and Aircrew, Phase Head, and Intelligence Updates.
  • Lead daily instructor scheduling and coordination with the Government and FRS.
  • Ensure CI training currency, standardization, required reading compliance, and maintenance of instructional materials.
  • Maintain general cleanliness and housekeeping of assigned spaces and work areas.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Active Secret clearance; TS/SCI preferred. Must be willing and able to obtain a TS/SCI in the future.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of management experience, including at least 2+ years managing aviation training operations or instructor personnel.
  • Must be a qualified MH‑60R Contract Instructor (Pilot, ATO, or Sensor Operator).
  • Must have been a NATOPS qualified‑ MH‑60R Pilot, or H60 Airborne Tactical Officer, or USW‑ capable‑ H‑60 Sensor Operator with a minimum of one fleet tour and 800 flight hours; or have been an H‑60 simulator instructor within the last five years.
  • Simulator instructor exception does not apply to MH‑60R pilots.
  • Must meet all CI qualifications and certification requirements, including annual tactical proficiency evaluation and semiannual tactical standardization meetings.
  • Must qualify and annually renew MH‑60R ATO and Sensor Operator qualifications with the FRS.
  • Previously designated MH‑60R pilots must complete NATOPS open‑book, closed‑book, and oral exams.
  • Demonstrated understanding of MH‑60R missions, systems, crew procedures, tactics, threat systems, FRP and FRAC syllabi, curriculum change processes, and integrated shipboard systems.
  • Ability to maintain proficiency with syllabus changes, required reading, and updates to publications.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain situational awareness during extended training scenarios.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb two flights of stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to lift, climb, and perform physical tasks as needed.
