Job Description


This is a remote position.



We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Translator to join our team. As a Translator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication across languages, ensuring accurate and culturally sensitive translations. You will collaborate with various departments to translate a wide range of materials, including documents, content, and communications, while maintaining the integrity and tone of the original message. Your attention to detail, linguistic expertise, and cultural awareness will be essential to delivering high-quality translations that resonate with our global audience.


Requirements


1. Language Proficiency:


  • Native or near-native proficiency in the source language (ِArabic).

  • Advanced proficiency in the target language (Hebrew).

  • Strong command of grammar, vocabulary, and idiomatic expressions in both languages.


2. Education:


  • A bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Language Studies, or a related field is often preferred. Some positions may require a master's degree for more specialized roles.


3. Experience:


  • Relevant work experience as a translator, either through previous employment, freelance work, or internships.

  • A portfolio or examples of previous translations that showcase your skills and versatility.


4. Cultural Awareness:


  • Understanding of cultural nuances, customs, and idiomatic expressions in both the source and target languages.

  • Ability to adapt content to suit the cultural context of the target audience.


5. Technical Skills:


  • Familiarity with translation software and CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools is a plus.

  • Proficiency in using productivity software like Microsoft Office or Google Workspace for formatting and editing translations.


6. Specialized Knowledge:


  • Depending on the industry or field you're translating for, having specialized knowledge (e.g., legal, medical, technical) can be a significant advantage.


7. Communication Skills:


  • Clear and effective communication skills to collaborate with clients, project managers, editors, and other team members.

  • Ability to ask clarifying questions and provide explanations for translation choices.

  • Strong proofreading and editing skills to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.
