Heavy Truck Technician

Boggs Recruiting is a leading recruiting agency that specializes in the Heavy Truck industry. Our customer based in St Johns, IN is seeking a skilled Heavy Truck Technician to join their team. Company offers a full benefits package/Monday to Friday 1st
shift.

As a Heavy Truck Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of emergency vehicles (Fire Trucks and Ambulances. You will work in a fast-paced environment, diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, conducting routine maintenance, and ensuring all vehicles are in compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on heavy trucks, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems

- Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections

- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and document any necessary repairs

- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot problems

- Keep track of inventory and order necessary parts and supplies

- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on vehicles

- Communicate with team members and management about any issues or concerns

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a heavy truck technician

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills

- Detail-oriented and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record

- Must have own tools
