Job Overview:
As a Heavy Truck Driver at Star Services LLC, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy trucks to transport goods and materials to various destinations. You will play a critical role in ensuring the timely delivery of goods to our clients while maintaining the highest level of safety standards. This is a full-time position that requires a dedicated and reliable individual who is committed to delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy trucks to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the safety and proper functioning of the vehicle
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely delivery
- Load and unload goods and materials using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time, distance, and fuel consumption
- Communicate with dispatch and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on the truck, such as checking oil and fluid levels, and reporting any issues to the maintenance team
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety, vehicle maintenance, and documentation
- Maintain a clean and organized truck at all times
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a heavy truck driver
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Ability to read and interpret maps and GPS systems
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy objects
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if required
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
