We are seeking motivated individuals interested in starting or advancing a career in construction for heavy civil projects in the Minneapolis–St. Paul Metro and surrounding states. These apprenticeship opportunities provide hands-on training and exposure to a variety of crafts, including heavy equipment operation, truck driving, concrete carpentry, pipefitting, millwright work, and general labor. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while developing the skills needed for a long-term career in the construction industry.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Interest in pursuing a career in heavy civil construction
• Willingness to learn new skills and follow direction from supervisors and experienced team members
• Commitment to working safely and following OSHA, company, and site-specific safety requirements
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, etc.)
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude
• Basic communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and stay engaged in assigned tasks
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours as needed to support project schedules
• Dependable transportation to and from job sites
• Ability to safely use or learn to use hand tools and power tools
• Must be comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying site conditions (including trenches)
• Valid Driver’s License may be required (depending on role)
• Must be at least 18 years old
Working Conditions
Travelcan berequiredwith this position within the United States.This position is based out of Central Area Office but will require travel to project sites.
Work is primarily performed on activeconstructionjobsites, including highways, roadways, and heavy civil infrastructure projects.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying materials
Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and dust.
Frequent interaction with heavy equipment, moving machinery, traffic, and construction hazards; strict adherence to safety protocols isrequired
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all job sites.
