Heavy Haul Truck Driver

Location: Statewide, MS

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Heavy haul truck driver to join our transportation and logistics team. As a heavy Hauler, you will be responsible for safe and efficient transport and large machinery, construction vehicles, and other heavy equipment to and from job sites, warehouses, and client locations. Your primary duties will include operating specialized trucks and trailers, securing loads, performing safety inspections, and adhering to all transportation regulations. You will collaborate closely with dispatchers, site managers, and clients to ensure timely accurate deliveries. Mindfulness, strong safety mindset, and excellent driving skills are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will have experience with oversized loads, knowledge of DOT regulations and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during transport. You must also be able maintain accurate records and deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and compliance documentation. This position may require long hours, overnight travel, and ability to work in various weather conditions. Responsibilities and Duties

Operate trucks and trailers designed for heavy equipment transport!

Secure and inspect loads to ensure safe transportation.

Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

Follow all DOT and company safety regulations.

Coordinate with dispatchers and site managers for delivery schedules.

Maintain accurate delivery and maintenance records.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues during transport.

Adhere to route plans and delivery timelines.

Communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Assist with loading and unloading equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

Strong Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures

Ability to operate and maneuver large trucks and trailers.

Excellent driving record and safety history

Physical ability to secure loads and perform inspections.

Strong Communications and organizational skills

Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.

Mindfulness and problem – solving abilities.

Basic Mechanical knowledge for minor repairs

Valid Commercial driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsement

Proven experiences hauling heavy equipment or Oversized loads.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen with a “Negative” result.
  • Must be able to complete a post- offer physical with a “Capable” result.
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
  • 2 Years of Experience preferred.
  • Driving Record: Clean driving record required to meet insurance standards.

Work Environment:

This role operates in both office and active construction site environments. Candidate must be able to perform site walks, attend field meetings, and ensure on-site safety and compliance.
