Job Description

As a member of the Garage personnel, a heavy equipment mechanic is responsible for servicing and maintaining a variety of EB equipment such as JLG’s (man lifts), emergency generators, transporter modules, golf carts, utility vehicles, small engine repair (lawn equipment), snow equipment (small engine), vacuum systems and construction equipment. This position supports fuel truck operations and snow/ice conditions. Applicant should have basic computer knowledge and be capable of making decisions with minimal supervision based on managerial objectives. Must possess sufficient planning and organizational ability to establish and maintain a safe, clean and organized work area considering multiple projects may be on-going simultaneously.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalency
  • Minimum of 3 years of field experience or within a repair shop/garage setting working with small engines, hydraulic and air systems as well as basic equipment electrical systems
  • Candidate must have at least basic mechanics’ tool set up to 1” and 25mm in metrics

Preferred:

  • Must have or be able to acquire and maintain:
    • CDL license with Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements with clean driving record
    • TWIC fuel depot card
    • JLG License (man lifts)
    • Forklift license
    • Harness training for heights
