Heavy Equipment Operators (m/f)

To support mining operations in the Benishangul-Gumuz region, Mota-Engil is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators to safely and efficiently operate mining equipment, including Dump Trucks, Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Bulldozers, and Graders. The role is responsible for supporting production targets while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy mining equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and report defects.
• Perform loading, hauling, excavation, grading, and dumping activities.
• Follow mine plans, traffic management procedures, and SHEQ requirements.
• Monitor equipment performance and report operational issues.

Education and Experience Requirements

Education

• Heavy Equipment Operator certification is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating Dump Trucks, Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Bulldozers, or Graders.
• Mining experience is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Safe operation of heavy equipment.
• Ability to conduct equipment inspections.
• Ability to identify and report defects and hazards.

• Attention to detail.

Additional Requirements

• Valid driving licence.
• Must be a current resident of Ethiopia.
• Willingness to work in a remote mining environment on a rotational schedule.
