Oldham County Stone – Rogers Group Inc – Crestwood, KY

Full Time

Day Shift (6 a.m. - 4 p.m.). Schedule may change based on seasonal and operational needs

Wages starting at $23.00/hr. Overall pay will be determined based on the chosen candidate's experience and skill set.

Oldham County Stone is an underground limestone mine/quarry seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for our operation located in Crestwood, KY We offer competitive pay with health, dental, vision, 401K, short term disability, long term disability and life insurance benefits. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery in a rock quarry including dozer, excavator, front end loader, haul truck, and general work around the quarry operation.
• Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:

• Individual must be dedicated to operating safely at all times
• Individual must be willing to perform any task required at quarry
• Must be able to identify and alert management to maintenance issues with equipment
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time throughout the workday, as required to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to compete pre-operation inspection paperwork
• Experience operating heavy equipment
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekend when necessary
• Team player attitude
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening
