Job Description

Red Wing Properties, Inc., is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at our Red Hook, NY location. Candidate will operate rubber-tired, tractor type vehicle, equipped with front-mounted-hydraulically-powered scoop, to lift and transport sand and gravel between storage areas, truck dump piles and specific storage piles (mounds), and storage piles to the hoppers of processing plant.

Responsibilities

  • Performs pre-operational equipment checks and completes daily inspection forms.
  • Performs pre-shift site inspection per MSHA guidelines.
  • Loads Trucks
  • Performs routine maintenance on loader, such as lubricating, fueling, and 250 hour services.
  • Keep stock piles free of contamination
  • Keeps yard and roadways well maintained by grading off. Repair potholes, etc. on continual basis.
  • May be required to assist with plant maintenance
  • May be required to perform services on other equipment when needed (
  • May be required to clean up shop, oil storage area.
  • May be required to run other equipment as needed.
  • Use company radio or CB radio to communicate with the scale house and customers to ensure correct material is loaded and that scale house is aware of product loaded.
  • Other duties as assigned
