The City of Greensboro is seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Equipment Operator to support water and sewer construction and maintenance operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining critical public infrastructure through the safe operation of heavy equipment and adherence to safety standards. Estimated Hiring Salary Range: $50,376.00 - $57,573.00 Full Salary Range: $43,755.00 - $78,299.00 Annually

Monday -Thursday, 4 days per week (10 hours per day)
6:15 am - 4:45 pm
The Water Resources Operations Division is responsible for maintaining and improving Greensboro’s water and sewer infrastructure systems. Field operations staff work daily to support safe water delivery, wastewater collection, emergency repairs, and long-term infrastructure reliability throughout the city.
The Heavy Equipment Operator performs water and sewer construction and maintenance work through the safe and effective operation of heavy equipment and related machinery.
Employees in this role may advance into positions through training, certifications, and operational leadership development.
Work Schedule: Monday -Thursday, 4 days per week (10 hours per day)
6:15 am-4:45 pm
