Job Description

The Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the heavy equipment at the facility.

Reports To

Site Supervisor

  • Perform daily pre and post trip inspection of the equipment per company standards to ensure fluid levels are at proper levels and safety devises are functioning properly
  • Continuously monitor the performance of the equipment and report any repairs needed to the maintenance department
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Keep machine and cab clean
  • Monitor materials coming in and report all unacceptable waste to management
  • Maximize truck load weights per DOT regulations
  • Perform other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • None required
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.

Physical Demands / Environmental Factors

  • Equipment operator position requires the operation of equipment with open and closed cabs.
  • Required to work indoors and outdoors and will be exposed to weather extremes and dusty conditions.
  • Required to work within close proximity to customers and will be exposed to busy traffic patterns.
