INDUSTRY: Equipment Rentals

LOCATION: Midland, TX

CONTEXT: Our client is seeking a Shop & Field Mechanics to join their team in Midland. These roles are essential for the repair and maintenance of a diverse fleet, including aerial equipment, telehandlers, forklifts, light towers, and general support assets. These positions offer a mix of yard and field duties with an emphasis on operational readiness and safety. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic environment that includes overtime opportunities and an on-call rotation with additional weekend pay.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Repair and maintain aerial equipment, telehandlers, forklifts, light towers, and general support equipment.
• Perform mechanical duties in both a shop/yard environment and at various field locations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical malfunctions.
• Coordinate with the team to manage an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 equipment support.
• Execute minor welding tasks as needed to complete equipment repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all specialty tools and company trucks are kept in good working order.
• Ensure all work is performed in strict accordance with company safety standards and environmental policies.
• Document all service records, inspections, and parts used for each repair.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an equipment mechanic.
• Direct experience working with aerials, telehandlers, forklifts, or similar heavy equipment.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and a comprehensive background check.
• Ability to work overtime and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Possession of a basic set of hand tools (specialty tools and field trucks are provided).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for the field role).
• Experience with minor welding or holding certifications such as OSHA 10 or ASE is a plus.
