PADNOS is a full-service recycling company handling paper, plastic, metals and electronic recycling. We tailor recycling programs for consumer and industrial clients throughout the United States. Our Heavy Equipment Mechanic I are responsible for preventative maintenance and basic repairs on heavy equipment used in recycling, material handling, and industrial operations. Equipment may include loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts, cranes, balers, conveyors, and mobile processing equipment.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday
• 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment
• Change fluids, filters, tracks, belts, and wear components
• Assist with repairs to hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Identify equipment issues and communicate findings to senior technicians
• Operate heavy equipment for testing and inspection purposes
• Maintain service records and work orders
• Keep work areas clean and compliant with safety regulations
• Assist with field repairs and emergency breakdown response
• Follow lockout/tagout and company safety procedures

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail
• Relevant Military experience
• Mathematical and mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of welding and torching is preferred
• 1-3 years of heavy equipment maintenance experience
• Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions
• Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform manual labor
• Vocational or technical training in heavy equipment or diesel technology
