Heavy Equipment Group Operator:

As a Heavy Equipment Group Operator, you focus on setting up, operating, maintaining and troubleshooting large mobile manufacturing production equipment; document and communicate work results during shift handovers; and provide general maintenance services consistent with your skills and abilities while meeting all ESH compliance and medical requirements for the role.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Heavy Equipment Group Operator, are to:

  • Operate pot carriers, loaders, trucks safely and efficiently, and handling materials in accordance with site procedures;
  • Communicate findings and work status during shift handovers to ensure continuity of operations;
  • Coordinate with the technical and maintenance teams to schedule and support equipment maintenance and repairs, and assist with plant-wide maintenance and shutdown work as scheduled;
  • Understand and implement all relevant Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) compliance requirements to protect personal safety, co‑workers and the environment, and perform other responsibilities as assigned by supervision.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • Ability and willingness to work scheduled twelve‑hour rotating shifts;
  • At least 18 years of age, able to lift 50 pounds up to a height of three feet, and physically capable of stooping, standing and walking for extended periods;
  • Good hand/eye coordination, depth perception and peripheral vision, with the ability to successfully pass required depth perception and peripheral vision tests;
  • Ability to successfully pass a drug screen test and meet and maintain all minimum medical requirements for this position;
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality and housekeeping, with the reliability and motivation expected in an entry‑level heavy equipment operations role.

Posting available until June 2, 2026

Employees can expect to be paid an hourly rate of $31.46. (Rate will increase to $39.38 upon completion of training and certification of skills) Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
