Mustang Cat is actively hiring Heavy Equipment Field Service Technicians in Houston, Texas. As a key part of our service team, you’ll perform complex diagnostics, overhauls, and repairs on Caterpillar diesel-powered construction equipment in the field.

•️ What You’ll Do as a Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician
You’ll perform advanced field repairs and diagnostics on Caterpillar diesel-powered machines that keep Texas building. Daily responsibilities include:
• Diagnose and repair Caterpillar construction equipment
• Use Cat ET and other diagnostic platforms to troubleshoot systems
• Service hydraulic, electrical, transmission, fuel, and undercarriage systems
• Perform preventative maintenance, installations, rebuilds, and repairs
• Operate independently in the field with a company-provided service truck
• Support customers to ensure minimal downtime on job sites

• Requirements
• Must own proper tools for diagnostics and repairs
• Valid Driver’s License with clean record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong understanding of hydraulics, transmissions, and undercarriage systems
• Experience using diagnostic systems such as Cat ET
• Prior military mechanic or heavy equipment repair experience strongly valued
✅ Preferred Experience
• Welding & fabrication (MIG, arc welding, oxyacetylene, arc gouging)
• Hands-on experience with hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors
• OEM, dealership, or technical school equipment service training
• Advanced proficiency with Caterpillar diagnostic platforms
