Heavy-Duty Shop Manager - $35-$36/hr + Revenue Commission - Earn over $95K+

Location: Tampa, FL

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM; Saturday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM

Pay Rate: $35-$36 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Pay Type: Hourly + commission based on revenue

Pay Schedule: Weekly

Introduction

We are seeking a Heavy-Duty Shop Manager in Tampa, FL to lead a commercial truck and trailer repair operation serving individual commercial drivers, owner-operators, and fleets. This position combines team leadership, customer service, sales, and inspection knowledge. The shop services commercial trucks, trailers, tanks, and fleet equipment with a strong focus on quality, safety, efficiency, and minimizing customer downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of approximately five technicians in a heavy-duty repair environment.
• Oversee daily shop operations supporting commercial truck and trailer repair.
• Provide professional, personable customer service to commercial drivers, owner-operators, and fleet customers.
• Support sales and revenue performance while maintaining a customer-focused experience.
• Apply inspection knowledge and provide required sign-off on Cargo DOT and regular DOT inspections.
• Help maintain consistent quality of work across the repair operation.
• Support an efficient workflow in a high-volume facility servicing 75+ vehicles per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong people skills, customer service ability, and team leadership experience.
• Sales experience is preferred.
• Experience working in or managing a heavy-duty, commercial truck, trailer, or related repair environment.
• Must be a registered inspector with the qualifications required to sign off on Cargo DOT and regular DOT inspections.
• Strong understanding of inspection requirements relevant to the shop's commercial vehicle work.
• Personable communication style with the ability to work effectively with technicians and customers.

Compensation & Benefits

• Approximately $35-$36 per hour. (Depending on Experience)
• Commission opportunity based on revenue.
• Annual Earning Potential of $95K+
• Weekly pay.
• Two weeks of PTO per year; accrual and eligibility timing were not provided.
