PermanentAt our Saskatoon The Cat Rental Store (TCRS) location, you will play a pivotal part of a small close-knit team working on a diverse range of Caterpillar and other branded products. You will be on a regular Monday to Friday shift, home every night! If you thrive in a collaborative team environment, possess self-motivation, and have a natural aptitude for mechanics you may be the ideal candidate we are looking for!

We are looking for a qualified Heavy Duty Mechanic (or a agriculture, truck and transport to automotive technician!)

• Wage: $42.62 - $51.57
• Bonus Target: 4%
• Paid Time Off in Year 1: Vacation, sick and 7 days flex time

  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar equipment along with other mechanical equipment (Genie, JIg, Sullair, etc)
  • Assist with a variety of shop repairs and diagnostics as required
  • Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
  • Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
  • Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team
  • Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
  • 3rd and 4th year HET apprentices may be considered based on skills
  • Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
  • Drivers license and drivers abstract required

Note:

  • This position is located at our Saskatoon branch, on a Monday – Friday (5x2) schedule
  • A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
