Heavy Duty Mechanic – Power Systems & Fleet (Moncton & NL FIFO)

Location: Moncton, NB (Base) + Remote Camp (NL) Salary: $47.00 – $55.00 per hour + Guaranteed OT Premium Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Opportunity

Talentsphere is recruiting for a unique, high-compensation career opportunity for a Heavy Duty Mechanic / Power Systems Technician This role is designed for a professional who wants a stable home base in Moncton combined with a high-earning, fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) lifestyle in Newfoundland.

This is a long-term "lifestyle" commitment. Our client is looking for a dedicated technician to become a staple of their specialized remote operations team.

Exceptional Compensation & Lifestyle

This role offers a hybrid schedule, splitting time between the Moncton facility and a remote camp in Newfoundland.

• In Moncton: A standard 40-hour work week at $47 – $55/hr

• In Camp (Remote NL): A specialized "8-for-12" pay structure.

  • The Shift: You work a standard 8-hour day

  • The Pay: You are paid for 12 hours total (8 hours base + 4 hours guaranteed OT at 1.5x) for every day in camp.

  • Example: At $50/hr, you earn $700 per 8-hour shift in camp.

• All-Inclusive: All travel to NL, private accommodations, and meals are fully provided while on rotation.

Key Responsibilities

• Expert diagnostics, maintenance, and repair for Power Generators, Heavy Trucks/Trailers, and Industrial/Farm Equipment

• Maintain critical power and fleet assets in remote settings with high autonomy.

• Uphold rigorous safety standards and detailed service documentation.

• Balance shop-based precision in Moncton with field-service problem-solving in NL.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of field experience as an HD Mechanic or Power Tech.

• Technical Assets: Experience with Power Generation, Truck/Trailer, and Farm Equipment is invaluable.

• FIFO Readiness: Previous experience in remote "Camp" environments (2-3 hours from civilization) is an asset but not mandatory.
